Virgin Casino To Release Necker Island Slot Game

Virgin CasinoIn recent months, many Microgaming casinos have increasingly used the QuickFire platform as a way to offer a more unique experience at each site, allowing them not only to offer a great selection of instant play slot machines, but also the ability to customize their own online casinos to a greater extent. Now, Virgin Games is creating their own exclusive game that will be available only to players at Virgin Casino.

The game is called Necker Island, and based on early reports, it should offer a lot of action for players who enjoy playing as many lines as possible. It will feature five-reel gameplay with up to 50 paylines available, and includes four lines of symbols on the screen.

At least two bonus games for Necker Island have already been alluded to. The first is a rather standard free games feature that will award the player ten free spins on the machine. The second is a locked wild feature which will allow the player to have some number of free spins while keeping wild symbols stuck in place for the duration of the feature.

Necker Island is a small island located in the eastern section of the British Virgin Islands near Puerto Rico. Although the island was uninhabited and mostly known for hosting a variety of insects and poisonous creatures, it was purchased by Richard Branson in 1979. The island is now used as a private resort, hosting up to 28 guests at a time.

Over the years, Necker Island has played host to some of the richest and most famous people in the world. Princess Diana was known to have stayed at the resort, and several high-profile weddings have taken place on the island, including the marriages of both Branson to his wife and their daughter Holly to her husband, Freddie Andrewes. Officially, Sir Richard Branson claims residency on the island as well.

“We wanted to create a game exclusively for our Virgin Games players, something that only we could offer and that truly summed up being part of the Virgin community,” said Warren Eloff, Head of Products at Virgin Games. “As such, we thought it would be ideally fitting to have a game created by Genesis Gaming that was themed around Sir Richard Branson’s luxurious private island.”

Eloff also praised the QuickFire platform for making the game possible.

“Offering our customers seamless game play is crucial, and as a Virgin company maintaining brand integrity is a must. Using Microgaming’s QuickFire platform has delivered on both counts, offering both easy integration and allowing us to give our players a unique Virgin Games experience.”

This isn’t the first time Virgin Casino has gone to Necker Island as a theme. Already, the site features a Necker Island scratch card game in which players can win up to £500 instantly.

As of yet, no firm date has been established for the launch of the Necker Island slot machine, though it was suggested that the game will be available in the near future.
